R U OK? Day 2016

FILM SCREENING • TALKS • Q&A

We believe that asking “are you ok?” is something we can do to make a difference. Join us on R U OK? Day Thursday 8 September!

The BULLY Project and R U OK? are teaming up with ACMI, Bullystoppers, Department of Education Victoria, Federation Square, headspace and PROJECT ROCKIT to deliver a morning packed with activities to inspire students to be there for one another when life gets a bit tough or stressful.

With appearances by Lee Hirsch, Director of BULLY, R U OK? Ambassador and PROJECT ROCKIT, students will have the chance to watch, listen and explore how they can connect with friends and support them if they are going through a tough time. Because we’re never too young to learn positive talking behaviour.

The 2-hour program, suitable for secondary students, includes a screening of BULLY for Younger Audiences (this version excludes themes relating to gun violence and suicide and runs for 47-mins), inspirational speakers and panel discussion, and digital activities. And headspace will be onsite to chat if anyone needs some immediate support.

Program includes:
• A screening of BULLY for Younger Audiences (this version of BULLY excludes themes relating to gun violence and suicide).
• Inspirational speakers including Lee Hirsch, Director of BULLY as well as R U OK? and PROJECT ROCKIT.
• Digital activities encouraging students to share their story and pledge to reconnect with their peers
